ComedyList (comedylist.xyz) is a free directory of Baltimore-area comedy open mics. It's built to help you find a stage, not to harvest your data. This page explains, in plain language, what the site collects and the choices you have.

Analytics are opt-in

We use PostHog to understand which mics and features get used. It only runs after you accept the cookie banner — decline and no analytics cookies are set and no usage is recorded. When enabled, it may collect the pages you view, links you tap (directions, calendar, contacts), your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We don't build advertising profiles.

If you submit a suggestion

The suggestion form asks for a contact handle (Instagram or email) so we can follow up on what you send. That contact is required, stored privately, and never shown publicly. Your submission and contact are saved to our moderation queue and emailed to the maintainer. Don't include sensitive personal information in the free-text fields.

Maps

Mic locations are shown using Mapbox. Loading a map sends a request to Mapbox, which receives your IP address and the map area being viewed, per their privacy policy.

Who processes the data

Analytics are processed by PostHog, Inc. (United States), maps by Mapbox, and the site is hosted on Vercel. We never sell, rent, or share your data for advertising.

Your choices

Decline the cookie banner to keep analytics off, or clear the site's cookies in your browser at any time to reset your choice. You can also use your browser's tracking protection or an ad/tracker blocker. To ask what data is associated with you or to request its deletion, email max@maxgrok.com.

Children

ComedyList isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
